Meet the Pathfinder Mascot

There's a new face at ALA Applied Technologies High School. Meet the new Pathfinder mascot!

We chose a wolf as our new mascot on purpose. Wolves read the terrain and adapt as it changes. Also, they never travel alone. That is exactly the kind of student Applied Technologies aspires to shape: one who can find a direction, pursue it with real skills, and bring others along.

Find Your Path

At the top center of the crest is a compass to symbolize how students at Applied Technologies don't wait to be told where they're going. They explore opportunities and discover a direction that is their own. The compass is a promise to our students: you will leave here with a clear direction. 

The Details Tell the Story

  • Pointed ears — Curiosity. Stay open to new ideas. Listen, adapt, and never stop learning from the world around you.

  • Strong jaw — Resilience. Face adversity with strength and the determination to keep moving forward.

  • Angular lines — Innovation. Clean, precise geometry for the technical thinking and problem-solving that define our programs.

  • Layered fur — Growth. Every skill, project, and challenge builds on the last, shaping students into capable leaders and lifelong learners.

One Pack

Applied Technology students choose different pathways and academies, and no two schedules look quite alike. But they belong to one community with one purpose. Whatever a student is building here, they're building it as a Pathfinder.

What It Means for Your Family

You’ll start seeing the Pathfinder mascot appear across the campus as the school year progresses. Our wolf will appear on spirit wear and everywhere else Applied Technologies shows up in the community. 

For currently enrolled families, this mascot illustrates your story. For interested families, it’s an invitation to see how your student can find their own successful path.
