Our Mission, Vision, and Values
ALA was founded to provide parents a choice in their child’s education. We are committed to partnering with families to help every student reach their highest individual potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
When it comes to education, we believe environment matters. That’s why we have created an environment that reinforces traditional values (R.A.I.S.E.) that are taught in the home, combined with a rigorous curriculum.
The moral and wholesome environment found at ALA creates a safe culture where distractions are minimized, and learning is accelerated.

Our Founder
Our Founder
Glenn Way is the founder of American Leadership Academy. Throughout his career, he has worked to build schools that serve students, support families, and strengthen communities. For Glenn, education has always been about more than academics alone. He believes schools should help young people grow in character, discover their purpose, and prepare for lives of leadership and service.
Glenn’s vision for ALA Applied Technologies was shaped in part by his own experience at Southern Nevada Vocational Technical School, where he studied Airframe and Powerplant. That background showed him the value of an education that pairs strong instruction with hands-on, career-focused learning. It also helped inspire his desire to create a school where students can gain academic knowledge, practical skills, and real-world experience in the same environment.
Under his leadership, ALA Applied Technologies was built as an extension of that idea. The goal was to give students more than a diploma. Glenn wants them to leave school with confidence, direction, and meaningful opportunities ahead of them. He believes education should prepare students for work, but also help them understand who they are, contribute to their communities, and build strong futures.
As American Leadership Academy has grown, Glenn has stayed committed to creating schools that hold high standards while also offering a moral and wholesome environment where students can thrive. At the center of his work is a simple belief: every child has unique gifts, and education should help bring out the best in each of them.
Our RAISE Values
Our RAISE Values
At American Leadership Academy (ALA), our commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals is encapsulated in our core RAISE. values: Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. These principles are not merely aspirational; they are actively integrated into our curriculum and daily practices to cultivate strong, educated, and confident leaders.
At ALA, these RAISE values are more than just words; they are the principles that guide our actions and define who we are as a community. By integrating these values into every aspect of our educational approach, we aim to develop leaders who are not only academically proficient but also morally grounded and socially responsible.
